At this point, it is unknown how this situation will develop as both Alexander and Gaines will likely be in court in the next couple of months. With this being the first major incident since Justin Fuente has taken over, it will be interesting to see what the long term penalty will end up being for Alexander and Gaines.
At this point, this is all the information that has been released though a tweet from Adonis Alexander yesterday evening has raised suspicions about his future in Blacksburg now.

For those who don't know, this is a gesture that is used by many when they are casually leaving somewhere. This tweet could be absolutely meaningless, but it still is notable at this point in the process.
Update 4/28: Adonis Alexander and Houshun Gaines both issued apologies for their actions today via Twitter.

Decisions on the future of Alexander and Gaines will likely depend on how the legal process plays out with both players likely to stay suspended indefinitely until all legal matters are completed.
