Virginia Tech Wins the ACC Coastal, Will Face Clemson in the ACC Championship

The Virginia Tech Hokies have been making preparations for their Commonwealth Cup showdown with Virginia not only needing to win to extend their win streak over UVA to 13 but also expecting to need a win to win the ACC Coastal over North Carolina. Instead, the Hokies won't have to worry about tomorrow's game having any impact on the Coastal. Virginia Tech has won the ACC Coastal thanks to North Carolina losing at home against NC State today. The Hokies will make their return to the ACC Championship for the first time since 2011 against Clemson who they also faced in 2011 in the ACC Championship. The Hokies were picked fourth in the Coastal before the season as Justin Fuente has done a tremendous season in year 1 in getting Virginia Tech back to the ACC Championship for the first time since 2011. While the Hokies will be underdogs, just getting back to this stage is a big boost for Virginia Tech as Justin Fuente looks to get the Hokies back to the level of the heights of the Frank Beamer when they had eight-straight 10-win seasons, winning 4 ACC Championships during that time. Congrats to Justin Fuente and his Virginia Tech football team on winning the ACC Coastal and advancing to the ACC Championship.
