Virginia Tech QB Commit Quincy Patterson Selected For Elite 11

Quincy Patterson Recruitment Photo 1
Three-star QB Quincy Patterson committed to Virginia Tech a little over a month ago, becoming the Hokies' second QB commit in the Class of 2018 joining DeJuan Ellis. Patterson is rated as a three-star recruit currently but based on some evaluators' opinions, it appears that may be about to change in the not too distant future. https://twitter.com/Elite11/status/848675945833693185 Quincy Patterson has been selected to participate in the 2017 Elite 11 Finals which brings together 24 of the top quarterback recruits in America. The selection is a prestigious honor for Patterson who will likely be one of the lowest rated QBs of those selected for now, but this being a great stage for Patterson to prove that he is underrated. Patterson was right around the top of the Hokies' QB board and was still a priority for Virginia Tech even after they gained a commitment from DeJuan Ellis. The Hokies have started to get some Midwest QBs recently with Josh Jackson coming from Michigan and Patterson now coming from Chicago. This honor may also make Patterson somewhat of a face of this recruiting class for the Hokies and help get him some more publicity among recruits that could make him even more useful in trying to get some top skill guys even though they may not be from near Patterson. Being able to recruit top skill players like Tre Turner, Dyami Brown, James Mitchell, and Kyle Pitts with the appeal of getting to play in Justin Fuente's offense with an Elite 11 QB can only be beneficial on the recruiting trail. Congrats to Quincy Patterson on being invited to the Elite 11 Finals
