Virginia Tech Promotes Josh Chambers To Director of Recruiting Operations

The Virginia Tech men's basketball program is in the midst of putting together what could be the best recruiting class in program history with borderline five-star SG Nickeil Alexander-Walker, four-star PG Wabissa Bede, and three-star forward PJ Horne while also being the favorite to add another borderline five-star recruit in SG MJ Walker. The Hokies have done that with not that much of a full-time recruiting staff but that is changing. https://twitter.com/TeamCoachBuzz/status/860138782024228864 Virginia Tech announced that Josh Chambers has been promoted to being Director of Recruiting Operations for the men's basketball program. Chambers was hired last year to be a graphic designer for the program with much of his work likely to have been heavily on the recruiting side so this move makes a lot of sense and is a well-deserved promotion for a guy who has done great work for the Hokies' men's basketball program over the past year. The move shows a more aggressive push by Virginia Tech's men's basketball program to amp up recruiting operations similar to what the football program has done over the past few years with the additions of Chuck Cantor, Thomas Guerry, and Matt Transue proving quite beneficial on the recruiting trail.
