Virginia Tech Offers 4 At Washington D.C. Satellite Camp

Virginia Tech hasn't sent out nearly as many offers from satellite camps this year as they did last year through their first 4 camps. However, the Hokies had their Washington D.C. satellite camp yesterday which proved quite fruitful for the Hokies, leading to VT sending out offers to three defensive backs and one wide receiver in three different classes. https://twitter.com/PaperChasing_6/status/874442974419193866 https://twitter.com/Nick_Cross26/status/874453591939051520 https://twitter.com/_ayoolukee/status/874445349049577473 https://twitter.com/Rakimj4/status/874691320270528514 Virginia Tech offered four recruits yesterday: 2018 3* CB Jermaine Waller, 2019 S Nick Cross, 2020 CB Luke Hill, and 2020 WR Rakim Jarrett (top to bottom). Jermaine Waller is definitely an interesting offer as the Hokies' DB class is filling up with VT being in good shape for some other targets including Kalon Gervin and Nadir Thompson. Waller told us the offer impacted his recruitment "a lot" after being, excited about getting to participate in the Hokies' satellite camp. Waller doesn't currently have a leader, but the Hokies will have to deal with the in-state threat of Maryland who appears to have him high on their board. Waller also has offers from a few other power 5 schools including NC State, Virginia, and Rutgers. Safety Nick Cross likely will be a top safety target for the Hokies in the 2019 class with it being likely Cross will only see his offer list grow a lot more especially since he'll be able to showcase his talent for Maryland powerhouse DeMatha Catholic. Cross currently has a solid offer list that already includes Mississippi State, Kentucky, Maryland, Purdue, Rutgers, and Temple. Virginia Tech is the first to offer 2020 CB Luke Hill, and the Hokies have a useful connection via his teammate and Hokie commit Cam Goode. Hill appears likely to be a big time recruit in the 2020 class so being the first to offer could prove beneficial along with having the connection to his school via Cam Goode. Hill wasn't the only from St John's College offered as 2020 WR Rakim Jarrett also received a Virginia Tech offer. Jarrett definitely will be a top WR in 2020 and already has offers from Maryland and Syracuse in addition to the Hokies. Congrats to this trio of DBs on receiving offers from the Hokies at yesterday's Washington D.C. satellite camp.
