Colton Taylor 25
The #25 jersey honor returned this season with Anthony Shegog being chosen to wear the jersey against West Virginia. Today, Justin Fuente announced who the recipient of the #25 jersey would be this week. https://twitter.com/CoachFuente/status/905861614968164352 Long snapper Colton Taylor will wear the #25 jersey against Delaware. Taylor earned this recognition Sunday after downing a punt inside the West Virginia 5 just before it would have gone into the end zone. Colton Taylor is a redshirt senior in his second full season as the starting long snapper after winning the job in 2015. Taylor earned a scholarship after the 2015 season and has been reliable for the Hokies over the past two seasons. Many people likely don't know who Taylor is and for a long snapper, that's a good thing. Taylor has done his job well over the past two years while doing a few little things that have helped him be one of the best long snappers on the East Coast. Long snappers aren't supposed to get a lot of attention and when they do, it's usually because of a mistake. However, Colton Taylor is getting the attention and recognition he deserves for his consistency as a long snapper and his hustle that showed against West Virginia.
