Virginia Tech Will Have Back-to-Back Noon Kickoffs on the ACC Network

Through the first nine games of the season, the Virginia Tech Hokies did not have a single kickoff before 2pm with only one game starting before 3pm. However, that will change the next two weeks. https://twitter.com/ACCFootball/status/927016976156954626 https://twitter.com/techlunchpaild/status/927598813530947585 Virginia Tech will face Georgia Tech on the road and host Pittsburgh at 12:20pm on the ACC Network for both games. These are the first two games that the Hokies will start at before 2pm this season, and will only be the second and third times that the Hokies have been on the ACC Network (not including the ACC Network Extra games). The noon kickoff this week on the ACC Network is definitely due to both the Hokies and Yellow Jackets suffering losses this past weekend. If both teams wins, it's hard not seeing this game be earlier than 3:30 on an ESPN family of networks channel. With Virginia Tech coming up short against Miami, it's not surprising to see their home game against Pittsburgh get this slot, especially with the Panthers' struggles this season. While some fans may be disappointed about the noon kickoff, many (especially students and those in Northern Virginia/757) are likely still happy that only one game started before 2pm this season.
