It’s Virginia week as Virginia Tech is headed to Charlottesville looking to beat Virginia for the 14th-straight year. The Hokies are about 7-point favorites ahead of the primetime matchup on ESPN with both schools having a chance to make a statement on a national stage.
Yesterday, VT revealed their uniforms for this year’s Commonwealth Cup matchup.

The Hokies will wear their traditional road uniform look which includes maroon helmets, white jerseys, and maroon pants. This is the second time that Virginia Tech will wear this uniform combination this season. The only other time VT wore these uniforms came in the Hokies’ first road game this season when they beat East Carolina 64-17.
This is a sharp, recognizable look that makes a lot of sense for this primetime matchup. The traditional uniform combination also makes sense for a rivalry game that is more recognizable when both teams are wearing their normal uniforms.
This is a sharp look that should look quite good as the Hokies look to take down Virginia for the 14th-straight year. The question that remains is can the Hokies get the job done and keep the Commonwealth Cup in Hokie hands?
