Four-Star OT Rasheed Walker Will Take an Official Visit to Virginia Tech This Weekend

Vance Vice 1
Rasheed Walker is one of the highest-rated offensive tackles in the country with all four major rankings having him among the top 15 offensive tackles and top 150 recruits. Walker's offer list is full of big time football programs, but the Maryland native appears likely to stay close to home with Virginia Tech, Penn State, Ohio State, and Maryland being the top contenders. Last weekend, Walker took his first official visit of the year to Penn State. This weekend, Walker is headed south to Blacksburg. https://twitter.com/Cinc0Tre5/status/941072812021899264 Rasheed Walker will take an official visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. This will be Walker's second official visit with the Waldorf, MD OT likely to take officials to Ohio State and Maryland next month. Walker is not expected to sign during the 72-hour Early Signing Day window. This is a big visit for the Hokies to get Walker on campus the week after he took his Penn State official. This will likely be the last time Walker visits Blacksburg before making a decision and is an opportunity to make a big move for a talented recruit who has no clear leader or favorite in his recruitment. Walker has been one of the quieter recruits, and there is some unknown surrounding his recruitment outside of the fact that he will most likely end up at Penn State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, or Maryland. This is a big official visit for Virginia Tech on the last weekend before the winter dead period. Walker's visit will be significant as one of VT's top targets at a position where VT lost a commit at last weekend. With Rasheed Walker visiting this weekend, it's clear that the Hokies are a serious contender for one of the best offensive tackles in the country.
