The Virginia Tech Hokies have had a big recruiting weekend starting with a pair of commitments from SWVA star James Mitchell and four-star JUCO CB Jeremy Webb. Over the weekend, the Hokies hosted an impressive group of official visitors and today, one of those visitors has decided to commit to VT.

Three-star OT Walker Culver announced that he has committed to Virginia Tech. The three-star offensive tackle is Virginia Tech's 26th 2018 commit and fourth offensive line commit from this class.
Walker Culver is regarded as a top 30 offensive tackle by 247 Sports while ESPN has him as the 35th best offensive tackle, 247 Sports has him 42nd among OTs, and Rivals has him 62nd among OTs. Culver is also ranked as a top 16 recruit in Tennessee and high three-star by ESPN, 247 Sports, and the 247 Sports Composite.
Culver has a strong offer list as well that includes the following schools:
- ACC: Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, UNC, UVA
- SEC: Auburn, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt
- Big 10: Ohio State, Indiana
- Pac-12: Colorado
- AAC: Memphis
