2020 OT John Williams Enjoys Recent Virginia Tech Visit

Vance Vice 1
Virginia Tech's primary recruiting focus is on the 2019 class, but the Hokies are slowly starting to invest more time and effort in the 2020 class. One of the recruits Virginia Tech is showing interest in and starting to invest more effort into recruiting is 2020 OT John Williams. Recently, Williams visited the Hokies on an unofficial visit that went pretty well. John Williams told us that he "enjoyed" his recent visit to Virginia Tech. "I had fun watching the scrimmage, and enjoyed watching the way the coaches coached their players," Williams told us. Williams was also impressed with the "high energy" nature of Virginia Tech's practices, something that he likes a lot. The Canton, Georgia offensive lineman told us that he has seen the Hokies show him some interest. In addition, Virginia Tech has told Williams that they do plan to make a trip to visit him this spring during one of his spring practices. In the meantime, Williams is continuing to take visits with a trip to Tennessee upcoming for him this weekend after an earlier stop at Memphis for the weekend. Williams also told us that Tennessee is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest that hasn't offered him alongside the Hokies and South Carolina. Right now, the trio of schools whom have offered Williams have a slight inside track given how long it's been since they offered. However, the recruitment of Williams is still quite wide open with plenty of time for the Hokies to make a big move for the talented Georgia offensive tackle.

John Williams' Offer List (According to 247 Sports)
