Virginia Tech Set to Visit Three-Star RB Jamious Griffin

Helmet 1
During his high school career, three-star RB Jamious Griffin has put up some impressive numbers for Rome (GA) High School. His performances haven't flown under-the-radar for some diehard Hokie fans who already know that one of his brothers is Virginia Tech LB Jaylen Griffin. So far, Jamious Griffin hasn't received a Virginia Tech offer, but that may be close to changing. Griffin told us that Virginia Tech RBs coach Zohn Burden will be visiting him tomorrow for his high school's spring game. He currently does not hold an offer from Virginia Tech, but the Hokies have been showing interest in him. Griffin released a top 5 earlier today that included NC State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Purdue, and Cincinnati; but told us that VT would jump into that top group if they offered him. One big reason for that is because of the presence of his brother, LB Jaylen Griffin, on the Hokies' roster.

Jamious Griffin in the Recruiting Rankings

Griffin is ranked as the 22nd best RB by 247 Sports, 34th best by ESPN, 38th best by the 247 Sports Composite, and 42nd best by Rivals. Among Georgia recruits, Griffin is ranked as the 35th best recruit by 247 Sports, 55th best by the 247 Sports Composite and Rivals, and 61st best by ESPN.
