Kickoff Times Revealed For Virginia Tech's Games Against William & Mary, East Carolina, Georgia Tech

Football season is still more than three months away yet the ACC announced kickoff times for the first three weeks of the season today including two Virginia Tech kickoffs that were not previously known. In addition, the kickoff time for Virginia Tech's Thursday Night game against Georgia Tech was announced. https://twitter.com/ACCFootball/status/997477050855419905 Virginia Tech's home opener against William & Mary on September 8th will have a 2pm kickoff and be shown on ACC Network Extra. The following week, the Hokies will host East Carolina with a 12:30pm kickoff on the ACC Network. Lastly, VT's Thursday night game against Georgia Tech on October 25th will kickoff at 7:30pm and be shown on ESPN. Virginia Tech's home opener against William & Mary won't be the first time VT has had a 2pm kickoff as the Hokies kicked off at 2pm against Old Dominion last season. In both cases, the games were on ACC Network Extra, giving VT flexibility in setting a kickoff time. Given the past history between VT and ECU, it shouldn't be surprising to see this game picked up by the ACC Network even with ECU's recent decline during the Justin Fuente era. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech fans living within an hour of Lane Stadium will likely be happy to see that kickoff for the Thursday night game vs. Georgia Tech will be at 7:30 instead of 8:00 as some Thursday night games have been in the past. Today's TV schedule release also included the previously announced 8pm ESPN kickoff for the Labor Day showdown between Virginia Tech and Florida State.
