Traeshon Holden is one of the most talented Mid-Atlantic wide receivers in the 2020 class, receiving interest and offers from across the ACC, SEC, and Big 10. For the past couple of months, Virginia Tech has also been showing interest in the four-star WR out of Maryland’s St. Frances Academy.
Holden told us that the Hokies have been showing him a good amount of interest recently. He also added that a Virginia Tech offer would have “a very big impact” on his recruitment.
Holden has visited Virginia Tech in the past taking 2 previous visits with his most recent visit coming in early April. The Baltimore WR told us that his early April visit was “good” and that he was impressed by the Hokies’ strength & conditioning program mentioning. He specifically mentioned that he was impressed by the job Ben Hilgart and his staff have done physically transforming players at VT.
Justin Fuente has a desire to have a deep wide receiver corps that spreads the ball around, something that makes Fuente’s offense appealing to recruits including Holden.
“I really like the offense because it gets everyone the ball,” Holden said about VT’s offense.
Justin Fuente’s offense has proven to be quite appealing to many top wide receivers with the Hokies having lots of success recruiting some of their top WR targets since Fuente’s arrival.
Even though the Hokies haven’t offered Traeshon Holden yet, VT has started to build a relationship with the four-star WR. However, it remains to be seen if the Hokies offer him though an offer does appear likely at this point.
