Virginia Tech Leads For Four-Star CG Brenden Tucker

Brenden Tucker 2020 1
As summer begins, Buzz Williams and Virginia Tech have done some scouting and sent out a few offers including one to four-star combo guard Brenden Tucker earlier this week during his visit to Blacksburg. https://twitter.com/BrendenTucker2/status/1007352505863475200 "It was an honor to be offered. Honestly, Coach (Christian) Webster has been recruiting me really hard, and I just had a feeling that I was going to get offered when I was on campus." Tucker received his VT offer on his first visit to Blacksburg which went well in its own right also. "It was nice. It was a great campus, and it was fun hooping with the team," Tucker said. Virginia Tech's campus was one of the things that stood out for Tucker along with "how Coach Buzz (Williams) does things." Tucker's VT offer and visit left such a strong impression on him that he told us that the Hokies are "definitely at the top" of his recruitment and are the lone leader for him. Tucker told us that VT is his leader because it "just feels like home to me." The fact that the Hokies have already made this strong of an impression is a fantastic sign for VT's hopes as we enter the heat of the summer. While Tucker is likely to gain more offers, it's clear that the Hokies are going to be a major player throughout his recruitment. One other benefit that the Hokies will have is the fact that Christian Webster has been pursuing Tucker for a while and should have a strong relationship with him. The Hokies have also had some success recruiting in the state of Georgia including with Landers Nolley in the 2018 class. Virginia Tech made a big move with Brenden Tucker and will be a major player in his recruitment going forward.
