Congrats to my HS lineman on signing with Virginia Tech this morning! Get to play with him for another 4 or 5 years! @ZHoyt

Hoyt committed to the Hokies over BYU and Pittsburgh who have had offers on the table for a much longer time than the Hokies. Hoyt took official visits to BYU and Pittsburgh, but getting the chance to play for Virginia Tech was something that Hoyt couldn't resist. Hoyt is definitely a solid, final recruiting victory for the Hokies from the Class of 2015.
Hoyt is ranked as a three-star center by the 247 Sports Composite while Rivals has him as a two-star center, and ESPN does not have anything on Hoyt. Hoyt is ranked as the 20th best center and 50th best recruit in Virginia by the 247 Sports Composite while 247 Sports' traditional rankings have him as the 22nd best center and 49th best Virginia recruit.
Hoyt is one of five offensive linemen in this class for the Hokies which will really help Virginia Tech build what should be an improving offensive lineman over the next few seasons. Stacy Searels has done a great job building offensive line depth and improving the talent pool in his first full recruiting cycle with the Hokies.
Zachariah Hoyt projects to have tons of upside with his 6'5'', 275-pound frame. Hoyt might not start for some time in Blacksburg, but he definitely has plenty of potential as a developmental center.
