#Hokies have about 8,000 tickets sold/claimed for tonight's 9 p.m. home game against Georgia Tech at Cassell Coliseum.

Even with the fact that this is the Hokies' most winnable home game, it is extremely impressive that the Hokies will have this many fans for this bad of a game at 9:00 on a Monday Night.
The Yellow Jackets may have 1 more ACC victory than the Hokies, but Virginia Tech is definitely the favorites in this matchup. Georgia Tech shoots under 42% from the field and 28.1% from beyond the arc while the Hokies shoot 44.9% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc.
Georgia Tech's star scorer is Marcus Georges-Hunt who is a great free throw shooter, but is shooting only 42.8% from the field and 26.4% from beyond the arc despite averaging 13.9 points per game. The Hokies need to prevent him from being able to get in the lane and get a layup or a foul. If the Hokies can do that, Georgia Tech could be in for a lot of trouble offensively.
Justin Bibbs is still looking to find his shooting rhythm and while Bibbs may not shine tonight, expect some progress from the freshman. Bibbs will need to get off to a good start though, but it wouldn't surprise me if Bibbs ends up with around 13 to 15 points against Georgia Tech.
Satchel Pierce, Christian Beyer, and Shane Henry will need to dominate the glass against a Georgia Tech team that is very good on the offensive glass and has 3 players averaging over 6 rebounds per game. The Hokies will not have a great game on the glass, but will do fairly well rebounding the basketball tonight.
Ahmed Hill is starting to gain some confidence, and will be ready to provide some quality offensive minutes with some easy layups and open threes. Hill also plays with a very good motor, and Hill will have a very strong game against the Yellow Jackets.
Buzz Williams will make sure his team is ready to shine against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Hokies will step up and have one of their best games of the season to move out of a tie for last place in the ACC.
Prediction: Virginia Tech 68, Georgia Tech 60
