Kendall Fuller picked up a leg injury during fall practice, but fought through it during the first three weeks of the season. Fuller also seemed to become healthier every week with the Preseason All-American looking like he was getting close to 100% against Purdue.
However, Fuller may have had some sort of relapse this past week, and was held out of the Hokies’ loss at East Carolina in sloppy conditions. Many blamed the poor conditions for why Fuller was held out with the Preseason All-American still not 100%.
Today, we learned that Fuller is in worse shape than most likely thought.
Frank Beamer on Kendall Fuller: "We'll see. … I think it'll be very doubtful that he'll be back."

Kendall Fuller is unlikely to play against Pittsburgh with Terrell Edmunds likely to be the starter in place of Fuller on the outside. With Fuller out, Brandon Facyson will likely take on the responsibility of covering Pittsburgh’s star wide receiver Tyler Boyd.
Even though the Hokies haven’t publically said that Fuller’s injury has gotten worse within the last 10 days, it seems clear now that Fuller reaggravated the injury sometime recently in practice. Remember, the Hokies did not say anything official about Fuller being hurt until the last two weeks when Fuller has been injured since sometime during fall practice.
Fuller’s draft stock has taken a slight hit so far this fall, but Fuller is still a top 15 to 20 draft prospect, and this could still be his final season in Blacksburg. However, this situation is starting to look similar to what happened to Facyson last season that led to his season ending after three games, and then receiving a medical redshirt.
Right now, the Hokies need to get Kendall Fuller healthy before their big Friday Night game against a N.C. State team that is likely to be undefeated and could be in the top 25 at that point. However, we’ll see if we see Fuller back soon or even at all in 2015 depending on the severity of his leg injury though you never know, Fuller could be out there against Pittsburgh.
