Hokies Football: Jerod Evans Has Participated Fully In Practice After Win Over Pittsburgh

The Virginia Tech Hokies got a big win at Pittsburgh last Thursday but in the process saw Jerod Evans suffer some sort of ankle injury that he was able to play through some. However, there was some nerves as to what the status of Evans may be for Saturday's road trip to Duke with the Hokies being double-digit favorites on the road in addition to being the favorite in the ACC Coastal. Today, Justin Fuente addressed the status of Jerod Evans and gave Hokie fans some very good news. https://twitter.com/techlunchpaild/status/793120202548453376 Justin Fuente told the media that Jerod Evans has been a full participant in practice this week. Clearly, it seems that Evans should play against Duke though you could see Evans end up on the injury report for this week as nothing more than probable. Brenden Motley was able to lead a productive drive when Evans first came out of the game, but Evans has been one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC in 2016 and having him in the coming weeks will be important especially with the target the Hokies have on their back as the Coastal frontrunner. However, this injury last week may mean that Evans comes out a little earlier than usual if the Hokies can open up a significant lead on Duke even if the likely large contingent of Hokie fans will want to see a full game of Evans especially with the junior being four passing touchdowns away from breaking the Hokies' single-season passing touchdown record.
