Virginia Tech CB Greg Stroman Is Probable to Play Against Virginia

Three weeks ago against Duke, Virginia Tech cornerback Greg Stroman suffered what looked to be a very bad injury against Duke after taking an awkward hit on a punt return. However, Stroman's injury turned out not to be as bad feared but still enough for him to miss some games as Stroman was diagnosed with an ankle sprain. For the past few weeks, Stroman has been getting closer and closer to making his return for the Hokies, but he may actually come back for Virginia Tech this Saturday. https://twitter.com/RickyLaBlue/status/801819645011431424 Virginia Tech has listed Greg Stroman as probable for Saturday's game though the Hokies may limit how much he plays especially if Virginia Tech opens up a big lead, and the Hokies are in strong position to win and clinch a spot in next Saturday's ACC Championship. Virginia Tech's secondary has seemed to take a slight hit since Stroman suffered his ankle sprain and getting the junior back now a week before a potential ACC Championship with Clemson would be great news for Virginia Tech. Stroman has been fairly effective for the Hokies this season with 11 tackles, 3 interceptions, 8 pass breakups, and a blocked field goal so far this season with some more in-depth stats suggesting that Stroman has been one of the best cornerbacks in the ACC this season. Stroman has also averaged a career high 8.8 yards for punt return with an 87- yard punt return touchdown against East Carolina while also averaging 20.9 yards per kick return though Henri Murphy could also end up retaining his spot as the primary kick returner. While it will still likely be a kickoff decision, it is a positive for the Hokies that Greg Stroman is very close to making a return.
