[Credit: Harley Taylor][/caption]The Virginia Tech Hokies announced their early enrollees today with the first eight names revealed by Justin Fuente not causing any surprises. However, it was the ninth and final player that caused a surprise with the Hokies reaching outside the United States to bring in some special teams help. https://twitter.com/CoachFuente/status/821422742289416192 Punter Oscar Bradburn from Sydney, Australia was the ninth early enrollee announced by Virginia Tech via Justin Fuente on Twitter and a press release later in the day. It's unknown how much interest from other college football programs Bradburn had received as there is not much information on his recruitment available. Over the past several years, we've seen a lot more Australian punters with some of them bringing a rugby-style punting technique though it is not known to us if Bradburn will bring a rugby-style punting technique or a more traditional one. For Bradburn, his arrival now may make things interesting at the punter spot as while Mitchell Ludwig definitely improved as the season went along, there is definitely the potential for Bradburn to push to be the top punter. This move also means that the Hokies may plan for Jordan Stout to be Joey Slye's replacement at kicker and not as much being a guy to push for the starting punter job. Congrats to Oscar Bradburn on signing with Virginia Tech.
