2020 CB Luke Hill Has an Amazing Visit to Virginia Tech

St John's College High School has emerged as one of the top high school football programs in the Washington D.C. area. VT has a commitment from Cam Goode and is in pursuit of plenty of younger players from that school including 2020 CB Luke Hill. Hill visited Virginia Tech for their Junior Day and his visit went about as well as you could imagine. https://twitter.com/_ayoolukee/status/952666631813107717 Luke Hill told us that his visit was "amazing" and that he "loved the atmosphere" at VT. When we asked him what stood out about the atmosphere, he told us that it was because of "the friendly, welcoming people and staff" and that "the Hokie Stone buildings also stood out." Hill got the chance to spend a lot of time with CBs coach Brian Mitchell which was one thing that stood out about his visit. "He (Brian Mitchell) introduced his way of coaching and we connected on many levels," Hill said. Hill told us that this visit "made me realize Virginia Tech will be a top school towards the end of his recruitment." Looking ahead this spring, Hill told us that he plans to take visits to South Carolina and Clemson. The St John's College HS standout also told us that Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Rutgers, and Clemson are recruiting him the hardest with the Tigers being the only one of those schools who haven't offered him yet. Luke Hill has a strong offer list already that includes Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Boston College, Syracuse, and Rutgers.

With this visit, Virginia Tech has positioned themselves well to be a major player for the talented Washington D.C. cornerback. The Hokies have a lot of work ahead to get Hill, but they are in good shape early on for one of their top 2020 cornerback targets.
