Virginia Tech Among 5 Standing Out For 2020 Four-Star OT Bryn Tucker

Bryn Tucker 1
Back in February, Virginia Tech offered 2020 four-star OT Bryn Tucker while he was in Blacksburg on a Junior Day visit. Since then, the Hokies have made it clear to Tucker that he is one of their top priorities in the 2020 class. Recently, we caught up with the star Knoxville OT to ask him about where he currently stands in his recruitment. Bryn Tucker told us that Virginia Tech, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame are standing out in his recruitment. Why are the Hokies among those standing out for Tucker? "When I first visited, I really loved it; and the coaches are amazing," Tucker told us. Tucker will be back in Blacksburg soon, visiting the Hokies for their Spring Game next weekend. Tucker will also be visiting Auburn this weekend and taking a visit to hometown Tennessee after his visit to Blacksburg. Since offering Tucker, the Hokies have made it clear to him that he's a top priority for them in the 2020 class. While it's still very early in his recruitment, the Hokies have made a great early impression that has them right in the hunt for the Knoxville star. Of course, the Hokies, and any other team that offers him, will have the challenge of getting Tucker out of Knoxville, something that is an inherent advantage for Tennessee. However, Cade Mays showed this past cycle that just because an elite player is from Knoxville doesn't mean they will go to the Vols. Right now, Virginia Tech has positioned themselves quite well in Bryn Tucker's recruitment, but they still have plenty of work ahead of them.

Bryn Tucker in the Recruiting Rankings

Tucker is rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals, 247 Sports, and the 247 Sports Composite. 247 Sports ranks Tucker as the best recruit in Tennessee, 40th best recruit nationally, and eighth best offensive tackle in the 2020 class. ESPN has not rated Tucker while Rivals and the 247 Sports Composite rankings do not have him ranked currently.
