2021 QB Athan Kaliakmanis Has a Phenomenal First Visit to Virginia Tech

Athan Kaliakmanis 1 Spring Game 2018
Virginia Tech has sent out only a few offers to some of their highest-rated recruits in the 2021 class. Those offers have been more limited on the offensive side with Athan Kaliakmanis out of Antioch, IL being the only QB offered. Of course, the Hokies have had some success recruiting quarterbacks from the Midwest including starter Josh Jackson (Ann Arbor, MI) and incoming four-star QB Quincy Patterson (Chicago, IL). This past weekend, Kaliakmanis made his first trip to Blacksburg, and Virginia Tech left a lasting impression. "My visit was phenomenal. I was shocked with how beautiful their campus is. Their facilities were breathtaking. I had a great time!" Kaliakmanis said about his first VT visit. He also told us that "the energy that the crowd had" stood out to him when he walked into Lane Stadium, giving him an "amazing feeling." Kaliakmanis was clearly impressed with Virginia Tech throughout his time in Blacksburg sharing photos with coaches, Michael Vick, and Quincy Patterson on Twitter. https://twitter.com/aajk_23/status/985284871697436672 https://twitter.com/aajk_23/status/985234536144556033 Currently, Kaliakmanis only has two offers from Virginia Tech and Syracuse, but that number may grow soon as he takes visits across the country to Notre Dame, Michigan State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and North Carolina in addition to a trip to Syracuse. Virginia Tech left a strong first impression on 2021 QB Athan Kaliakmanis, a first impression that likely won't be forgotten when he visits in the future.
