Virginia Tech Among Four Currently Standing Out For 2020 Four-Star DB Jordan Morant

Entrance 3 1
Bergen Catholic has emerged as one of the top high school football programs in the Northeast producing plenty of power 5 quality college football players. The New Jersey powerhouse is continuing to produce top talents including Jordan Morant, one of the best recruits from New Jersey in the 2020 class. Early on, Morant has four schools standing out in his recruitment. Jordan Morant told us that Virginia Tech, Michigan, Penn State, and Nebraska are the four schools standing out in his recruitment. Why are these four schools standing out? "I feel that I’m starting to grow a relationship with the coaches at each of the schools, and I really like the atmosphere at some of the schools. I definitely plan on visiting each of the schools." Morant also gave us some insight into why Virginia Tech is among the four schools standing out in his recruitment. "I feel that Virginia Tech truly fits my playing style and academically, it’s a great school. I just think it shows a great atmosphere and I can’t wait for what it has in store when I come down and visit one day." As Morant mentioned, he has not taken a visit to Virginia Tech yet, but he told us that he is hoping to make a visit to Blacksburg soon. The Hokies have made the state of New Jersey a priority under Justin Fuente regularly hosting satellite camps in the Northeastern state. The Hokies have also had a lot of success recruiting defensive backs out of New Jersey signing Tyree Rodgers in 2016 and Bryce Watts in 2017 plus holding a commitment from Nyquee Hawkins in 2019, all of whom were recruited as defensive backs. For Virginia Tech to start taking the next steps in his recruitment, VT will need to get him on campus this summer, something that we can likely expect to see in the coming weeks. For now, the Hokies are right in the hunt for Jordan Morant as his recruitment is setting up to be an ACC vs. Big 10 battle.
