Coaching changes can impact plenty of high school recruitments and where those players end up. Anthony Higgs was one of those players as the Baltimore native was an Ole Miss signee under former head coach Andy Kennedy, but decided to decommit after Kennedy's dismissal.
Now, the three-star forward is down to three schools

Virginia Tech, South Florida, and Buffalo made the final three for three-star forward Anthony Higgs. Given how late we are in the 2018 cycle, a decision from Higgs appears likely in the next few weeks. Higgs still has three official visits remaining after going on officials to Ole Miss and Colorado in September according to
247 Sports.
The 6'8'' forward would add some size to a Virginia Tech recruiting class that currently includes 6'7'' wing Landers Nolley, and combo guards Jarren McAllister and Jon Kabongo; both of whom are 6'3'' at most.
Tyrie Jackson's transfer has given the Hokies an open scholarship spot that VT clearly intends on filling after failing to do so when a scholarship was open last year. Bringing in Higgs would give the Hokies some more size in addition to the return of Khadim Sy after Sy redshirted last season.
Anthony Higgs in the Recruiting Rankings
Higgs is ranked as the 84th best small forward by
247 Sports and the 247 Sports Composite while
Rivals ranks him as the 38th best power forward.
