Virginia Tech will host Rutgers on November 28th in the Women’s ACC-Big 10 Challenge. This will be the seventh matchup between the two teams and first since 2003 when Rutgers upset the 16th-ranked Hokies in New Jersey. VT is 2-4 all-time against the Scarlett Knights with all six games coming between 2000 and 2003.
The Hokies have also won three-straight ACC-Big 10 Challenge games.
This game features two teams who finished in the middle of their conferences last year after Rutgers finished tied for ninth in the Big 10 and VT finished tied for ninth in the ACC.
For the Hokies, this will be a good opportunity for VT to pick up a quality non-conference win as they look to make their first NCAA Tournament since 2006 after three-straight WNIT appearances.
