Virginia Tech dominated William & Mary yesterday in a 62-17 victory while hosting a few of their 2019 commits and some top 2020 recruiting targets including four-star DB Cameron Roseman-Sinclair and four-star ATH Ethan West. After that visit, Roseman-Sinclair told us that he had a new leader in his recruitment. Virginia Tech now leads for four-star DB Cameron Roseman-Sinclair after his second visit to Blacksburg within the past two months. Why are the Hokies leading for Roseman-Sinclair? "The impact of what Coach foster and Coach Fuente are building is building up a lot of young talent that is grabbing a lot of attention from people," Roseman-Sinclair said. Roseman-Sinclair added that he had a "great" visit on Saturday. What stood out about his visit to Blacksburg? "The crowd and the environment is amazing on game days, and the way the defense plays with the aggressive and 11 men to the ball mentality is amazing to me," Roseman-Sinclair said. In addition, Roseman-Sinclair told us that this visit "impacted me a lot with some big visits coming." The four-star DB from Charlotte also says that the way Justin Fuente continues to show his heavy interest in him also caught his attention. Roseman-Sinclair does have some big visits coming this fall as the four-star safety plans to visit Clemson, Ohio State, West Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky, and North Carolina in the coming months. The Hokies have been trending as the favorite for Roseman-Sinclair for months now with the four-star DB telling us after his late summer visit that Virginia Tech was at the "top" of his list, but not necessarily his leader. However, the Hokies have continued to impress the four-star DB and are currently recruiting him the hardest among those involved in the four-star DB's recruitment. New safeties coach Ty Nix didn't arrive till the middle of the summer, but Roseman-Sinclair told us that he has a "great relationship (with Nix) since the first time we met at the Blacksburg Bash." The fact that Roseman-Sinclair and Nix have built a strong relationship so quickly is a clear positive for VT going forward. In addition, Roseman-Sinclair is close with VT commit, teammate, and very good friend Elijah Bowick. While that relationship won't likely be a decisive factor, it definitely is advantageous for the Hokies and has helped them position themselves well in his recruitment. Cameron Roseman-Sinclair has some big visits coming up, but the Hokies have claimed the lead in his recruitment after a "great" visit to Blacksburg yesterday.
