The NFL season is now over a quarter of the way done, and Virginia Tech alumni keep putting in solid performances on the professional gridiron. From rookies to veterans, former Hokies are making an impact all across the league. Nine Virginia Tech players saw action in Week 5 of the NFL, and for some of them, the level of play just keeps getting better.

Tremaine Edmunds (Buffalo Bills)

Tremaine Edmunds registered eight tackles in the Bills' game on Sunday against Tennessee. Four of his tackles were solo, and he also had a pass breakup in the game. This is the second-most tackles that Edmunds has made in a game this season after making 10 against Minnesota in Week 3. Edmunds also has three straight games now with a pass defended.

Terrell Edmunds (Pittsburgh Steelers)

The other Edmunds to be terrorizing NFL offenses this season, Terrell made seven tackles in the Steelers’ game against Atlanta this week. Pittsburgh won 41-17 as Terrell registered five solo tackles and two assisted. His seven tackles tie his career high, which he set last week against Baltimore. With the win, Edmunds helped the Steelers get back to .500 after a rough few weeks to begin the season.

Kendall Fuller (Kansas City Chiefs)

Another former member of Virginia Tech's DBU, Kendall Fuller helped lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory on Sunday. Fuller made seven tackles as the Chiefs defeated Jacksonville 30-14 to stay undefeated. Six of Fuller’s tackles in the game were unassisted. He now has 32 tackles on the season and has registered seven tackles in a game three times this year. Kansas City is now 5-0 on the season and one of only two undefeated teams.

Other Hokies

Greg Stroman made one tackle in the Washington Redskins' 43-19 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. The solo tackle was Stroman’s first of the season in four games. Chuck Clark, Antone Exum, Jr., Brandon Facyson, Tim Settle and Logan Thomas all saw playing time in Week 5 as well. Virginia Tech fans should look forward to Week 6 as multiple Hokies will be featured in prime time. Kendall Fuller leads the Chiefs against the New England Patriots at 8:20 on Sunday night before Exum and the 49ers take on the Green Bay Packers at 8:15 on Monday Night Football.
