Virginia Tech has revealed the uniform for Game 6 of the 2018 season, and it’s the sixth combination that the Hokies will wear so far this year. Virginia Tech will take the field against North Carolina on Saturday wearing maroon helmets, maroon jerseys and white pants. According to the Unibuilder on cruhland.com, the last time Virginia Tech wore this combination was last season on the road against Georgia Tech. Let’s take a look at some of the stats for Virginia Tech uniforms so far this season. This will be the fourth time Virginia Tech has worn maroon helmets in a game this season. The Hokies are currently 2-1 while wearing maroon helmets, the one loss coming last week against Notre Dame. The team has worn maroon jerseys twice this season, and is 1-1 in those games, with the loss again coming against Notre Dame. Saturday’s game will be the fourth time the team has worn white pants this season, and the Hokies are 2-1 in those games. This game will also mark the second time the Hokies have worn color on the road after they wore orange against Old Dominion last month. While I like this uniform combo, it is not one I would have gone with for the game. In today’s world of college football, having multiple uniforms is all the rage. I would prefer to see Tech stick with the classic maroon, white, maroon combination for road games, but that’s just my opinion. Whatever fans think of this combination, they can see it live on Saturday night when the Hokies take on North Carolina at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
