Yesterday, three-star SF/PF Yavuz Gultekin announced that he will be making his collegiate commitment today.

The three-star forward told us that he expects to make his decision sometime during the early afternoon today.
Heading into his decision, Gultekin told us that he is considering Virginia Tech, Minnesota, Georgetown, Nebraska, TCU, and Northwestern. Over the past few weeks, Gultekin has taken official visits to Virginia Tech and Minnesota, and an unofficial visit to Georgetown recently. Gultekin described his VT official as "good" with the "ideas and path" of Buzz Williams standing out to him.
Though Gultekin has six teams still under consideration, it wouldn't be surprising if he chooses one of his 3 recent visits especially given the sudden timing of this decision with Gultekin previously having more visits planned according to 247 Sports.
For the Hokies, Gultekin would be a big addition to a class that could use some forwards to compliment four-star PG/SG Anthony Harris and three-star PG Andre Gordon. In addition, Gultekin could be the Hokies' third commit of the month with three-star PF/SF Calvin Felder planning on making his decision at the end of the week.
