Four-Star PF/SF Emanuel Miller Commits to Virginia Tech

IMG 4360
After gaining commitments from three-star PG Andre Gordon on Monday and three-star SF/PF Yavuz Gultekin yesterday, Virginia Tech gained their third commitment in four days from four-star PF/SF Emanuel Miller. https://twitter.com/EmanMiller5/status/1053032578721099776 Miller is the second consensus four-star recruit committed to the Hokies alongside talented PG/SG Anthony Harris. With Miller on board, the Hokies likely only have a couple spots left with four-star C Qudus Wahab taking an official visit this weekend, and VT making the top 5 for three-star forward Calvin Felder who is expected to make his collegiate decision tomorrow. With Chris Clarke and Ty Outlaw both in their final years of eligibility, the Hokies needed to bring in some young forwards this class with Miller fitting that mold as a versatile forward who should fit as a 4 for Buzz Williams. One of the most intriguing things with Miller is the fact that he has international experience with youth Canada teams. Miller was impressive for Canada in this past summer's FIBA U-18 Championship averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists according to 247 Sports. With Miller on board, the Hokies are set to have their third-straight class that includes a Canadian with Nickeil Alexander-Walker in the 2017 class, Jon Kabongo in the 2018 class, and now Miller. Assistant Jamie McNeilly, a Canadian native and part-time assistant for some of the Canadian national basketball teams, has proven to be quite valuable for the Hokies in expanding their reach into Canada on a consistent basis. So far, this has been one of the most impressive weeks for Virginia Tech basketball on the recruiting trail with a run of commitments that is reminiscent of what Virginia Tech football did in January of 2017 gaining four commitments in four days from current starters Dylan Rivers and Bryce Watts, plus Devon Hunter and Robert Porcher IV. Congrats to Emanuel Miller on his commitment to Virginia Tech.
