Virginia Tech falls to Boston College

2020 Four-Star WR Muhsin Muhammad Hopes to Visit Virginia Tech Soon

When you hear the name Muhsin Muhammad, you most likely think of the former Carolina Panthers star who had 62 receiving touchdowns and over 11,000 receiving yards in his career. However, his son Muhsin Muhammad III is looking to follow in his footsteps and has emerged as one of the top wide receivers in the 2020 class.

So far, Muhammad has plenty of suitors including the Hokies who are showing lots of interest that appears to be mutual.

Muhammad told us that he hopes to visit Virginia Tech “soon” and that the Hokies are among 5 teams recruiting him the hardest alongside Purdue, North Carolina, Michigan, and Ohio State. Of those 5; VT, Purdue, and UNC have offered him so far while the Wolverines and Buckeyes have not.

Muhammad currently doesn’t have a leader in his recruitment, but you have to think that Michigan State will be one of the top contenders throughout his recruitment especially since his father played for the Spartans before he became a star with the Carolina Panthers.

However, the Hokies should be helped by the fact that he isn’t too far from Blacksburg playing for Myers Park in Charlotte. In addition, Muhammad is also teammates with current VT commit/three-star WR Elijah Bowick and top VT target/2020 four-star DB Cameron Roseman-Sinclair.

The Hokies have made the state of North Carolina a top recruiting priority under Justin Fuente and have lots of interest in multiple receivers from NC including Muhammad, Porter Rooks, and Ray Grier; all of whom are considered four-star recruits.

Virginia Tech is showing lots of interest in Muhsin Muhammad with the son of the former Carolina Panthers star WR hoping to visit Blacksburg sometime “soon.”
