Myron Warren gets Virginia Tech offer.

Three-Star DE Myron Warren Hopes to Visit Virginia Tech After Recent Offer

Under Justin Fuente, Virginia Tech has extended more offers into the Deep South than Frank Beamer did. Earlier this week, the Hokies extended another offer in the Deep South to three-star DE Myron Warren from Louisiana.

The Hokies are the 27th offer for Warren and 15th from a power 5 conference including the first from an ACC program. Warren told us that the Hokies offering was a “big surprise,” but added that the Hokies had shown “some” interest before extending him this offer.

With the offer, Warren told us that the Hokies are “one of my top” schools in his recruitment while Texas, Oregon, Mississippi State, and Georgia are among those standing out for him. At this point, Mississippi State and Georgia have not offered the Louisiana DE.

Looking ahead, Warren told us that he has plans to visit Texas in December with hopes to also visit Oregon, Mississippi State, and Virginia Tech in the near future. Currently, Warren is looking to at least trim down his recruitment in early December with his visit schedule likely to give us a good indication as to which schools will be the top contenders in his recruitment especially if he intends to sign during the early signing window.

While much of Virginia Tech’s 2019 focus has been on the JUCO ranks, the Hokies appear to still have interest in adding one or two more high school recruits with Warren clearly being among the top high school targets.

Virginia Tech has jumped right into the hunt for three-star DE Myron Warren as the Hokies continue to extend more offers into the Deep South.
