Virginia Tech is in the Top 2 For 2020 Three-Star DE Jay Hardy After First Visit

VT Fans 1 1
Black Friday games are usually difficult for most recruits to attend, but Virginia Tech did have a few visitors on campus this past weekend including 2020 three-star DE Jay Hardy who was making his first visit to Blacksburg. Hardy told us that he had a "great" visit and "loved the atmosphere" for the Hokies' win over Virginia. In addition, Hardy had this to say on what stood out about his visit. "The vibe of the game and how loud the game was," Hardy said. "Almost every coach talked to me before the game. I loved the atmosphere of the stadium the most." Hardy was also impressed with the Hokies' fan base and the passion of Hokie Nation. "They were crazy, and never sat down during the game. Virginia Tech loves their student athletes," Hardy said. After the visit, Hardy told us that the Hokies were in his current top two alongside Kentucky, who has also been heavily pursuing him. Why are the Hokies in the top 2 for Hardy? "I love the coaching staff and the school is also great academically," Hardy said. Looking ahead, Hardy told us that he is done taking visits this fall. However, Hardy does feel that a couple SEC schools, Tennessee and Missouri, could be close to offering him. So far, Hardy has six power 5 offers with the Hokies and Wildcats standing out as his biggest ones to date. Though he does have a top 2, Hardy told us that he doesn't have any plans to make a decision in the near future. So far though, Virginia Tech has positioned themselves as one of the top contenders for three-star DE Jay Hardy who seems poised to add more offers in the coming months.
