Virginia Tech Visiting Four-Star C Qudus Wahab Today

After beating VMI last night, Buzz Williams and Virginia Tech's coaching staff are on the road visiting four-star C Qudus Wahab. https://twitter.com/jakeweingarten/status/1070675222381113344 Back in September, Wahab cut his list down to Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Georgetown, and Connecticut. Since then, Wahab has taken official visits to all five schools and has set a commitment date for December 13th according to 247 Sports. The Hokies are looking to add a true center to their large 2019 class with Wahab being the Hokies' top target for the last few months at center. That interest has clearly been mutual with Virginia Tech being one of the top contenders in his recruitment.

Wahab is rated as a four-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals, and 247 Sports. 247 Sports ranks him as the 111th best recruit in the nation while Rivals ranks him as the 108th best recruit in the nation, and the 247 Sports Composite ranks him as the 129th best recruit in the country. Wahab is ranked as the fourth best recruit in Virginia by ESPN, and sixth best by 247 Sports and the 247 Sports Composite. Among centers, Wahab is ranked 19th best by Rivals, 24th best by 247 Sports, 25th best by 247 Sports Composite, and 30th best by ESPN.
