Jordon Simmons has emerged as one of the top running backs in Georgia with plenty of interest from major power 5 programs including Virginia Tech. Looking ahead, Simmons has an idea of the schools he hopes to visit soon.
Simmons told us that Virginia Tech is among the schools he hopes to visit soon along with Clemson, Florida, Miami, Nebraska, "and a couple more." Simmons has visited the Hokies previously as he made a trip to Blacksburg in July.
The Hokies have been showing interest in Simmons with Florida, LSU, Nebraska, and Boston College being among the other schools showing interest in him.
Simmons is an intriguing talent as a versatile running back who feels he could fit well in the Hokies' offense.
"I would fit great. They run a similar offense that we ran in the the past," Simmons said on how he would fit in the Hokies' offense.
Simmons' stats back them up as he had 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns on 127 carries this past season. In addition, Simmons proved to be capable in the passing game with 25 catches for 381 yards and 5 touchdowns, something that the Hokies look for in their running backs.

Rivals, 38th best by the 247 Sports Composite, and 43rd best by
247 Sports. In the state of Georgia, Simmons is ranked 35th best by Rivals, 42nd best by 247 Sports, and 47th best by the 247 Sports Composite.
