Three-Star OT Brady Petersen Recaps His "Awesome" Visit to Virginia Tech

IMG 4586
Virginia Tech has hosted recruits from all across the country on visits this spring including three-star OT Brady Petersen who the Hokies recently started showing interest in before his visit to Blacksburg last week. https://twitter.com/BradyPetersen21/status/1119297128894013440 Petersen had this to say about his visit to Blacksburg. "It was awesome the facilities are one of the best in the country and the coaches there are awesome!" Petersen said about his Virginia Tech visit. During his visit, Petersen was able to take in practice, tour campus, and spend time with the coaches. While those things were well-received, there was one thing that stood out above it all. "The coaches' vision to win a national championship!!" Petersen said about what stood out to him during his visit. During his visit, Petersen had the opportunity to spend time with Adam Lechtenberg and Vance Vice along with a brief conversation with Justin Fuente during practice. Petersen had this to say about his conversation with Justin Fuente. "It was a brief talk on the field and he said he was glad we were there and he’s excited for me," Petersen said. Brady Petersen had the chance for a longer conversation with Vance Vice, his potential position coach should he come to VT, with Vice casting a vision for who Petersen could develop into in the future. "He just talked about what he was looking for and what he liked about me and what my future is," Petersen said. Petersen is also building a solid relationship with Adam Lechtenberg who initiated the interest between the Hokies and Petersen. "I think we built a good relationship when I was there and we had went and grabbed some food and had a good time just talking about football and what they look for," Petersen said about his time with Lechtenberg and relationship with him. Petersen feels that an offer from Virginia Tech may be inevitable, but also isn't sure if the Hokies will offer either. Meanwhile, Petersen mentioned that in-state Power 5 programs Iowa and Iowa State have also been showing lots of interest. For now, Petersen has several offers from Group of 5 programs, but has not received an offer from a Power 5 school to date, though the likelihood of that changing seems high. Virginia Tech left a strong impression on Brady Petersen during his recent visit with the big question remaining being whether the Hokies will extend an offer to the 6'5'' offensive tackle.
