Virginia Tech Jumps Into Top Group After Offering Three-Star RB Ty Jordan

IMG 2999
Virginia Tech has continued to offer lots of talented recruits from the state of Texas with three-star RB Ty Jordan being among the most recent Texans to receive an offer from the Hokies. https://twitter.com/_ylfotyt/status/1123308828932620288 Jordan had this to say about his reaction to the Hokies offering him. "I was ecstatic. They have a great tradition and I’m anxious to see what they are about," Jordan said. Jordan told us he received the offer from Virginia Tech's RBs coach Zohn Burden while he has also had plenty of communication with VT's quality control assistant Beau Davidson. This offer also made an immediate difference as Jordan told us that the Hokies are "in the running" and a part of his now top 12 because he "loves the tradition and likes where they are headed." Jordan has received lots of interest from across the country with offers from at least two teams in each Power 5 conference and 18 Power 5 offers overall. This shouldn't be a surprise after Jordan had 1,800 all-purpose yards and is a versatile back that seems like an ideal fit in a Justin Fuente that likes to have running backs who bring versatility to the table. Jordan's national recruitment is reflected by the heavy interest he has received from not only the Hokies after making this offer, but also from Texas, USC, Tennessee, Baylor, and Missouri. Looking ahead, Jordan has plans to use the summer to visit schools on the East and West Coast with Virginia Tech being among the programs he is hoping to visit. After the summer, Jordan will likely start approaching a decision with the talented Texan hoping to make a decision before his birthday in November. Virginia Tech may not have a lot of tradition recruiting in Texas, but they are slowly making Texas a bigger priority with Ty Jordan being among the latest Texans to be offered by the Hokies.
