Brown told us that he had an “awesome” visit to Virginia Tech that included working out at the beginning, touring campus, getting to hear about the new facilities being built, and more.
However, what stood out the most from Brown’s visit was the players and coaching staff.
“The coaching staff & the players. They showed so much love! Also, their environment, it’s all close,” Brown said.
Brown had the opportunity to have some conversations with the coaching staff including DL coach Charley Wiles ho told him that he was impressed with his “work ethic, length, and ability.” Additionally, Brown has built a strong relationship with the Hokies’ DL coach.
“We have a great bond, he’s a great coach & been around for awhile. I’m looking forward to keep building that,” Brown said about his relationship with Charley Wiles.
Brown also mentioned to us that he has built a good relationship with Zohn Burden, his area recruiter, in part because of their shared 757 roots.
“I have a good relationship with Zohn Burden because he recruited me and also he’s from my area so that’s a big thing,” Brown said about his relationship with Zohn Burden.
Overall, the Hokies left a strong impression on Brown that has Virginia Tech among the top contenders in his recruitment.
“I really like VT. It’s a good place & when I went on he visit it was amazing,” Brown said.
Brown added that he sees the Hokies being one of the top schools in his recruitment after his visit, another great sign of the position that the Hokies are in currently.
Overall, Virginia Tech is in great shape early on in the recruitment of Naquan Brown as they continue to make the talented 757 defensive end a top priority.
