757 star and four-star recruit Naquan Brown is set to make his decision in just over 24 hours. Here's the latest on Brown plus updates on a pair of priority 2022 targets.

4* DE Naquan Brown

Naquan Brown is set to make his commitment tomorrow with Brown tweeting out earlier today that he is planning to announce it around 5:30 tomorrow evening.

While Virginia Tech seemed like a major contender for a while, we're hearing that Tech has faded in Brown's recruitment and doesn't seem to be nearly involved as they once were. It would be a major surprise at this point if they landed him while Miami, a school that seemed to be surging with Brown, also seems to have slowed down their pursuit of him.

LSU still remains involved though it's unclear if the Tigers currently have Brown as a take on their board. Obviously, that seems like the landing spot if they do while Pittsburgh could be the choice if LSU decides not to take a commitment from Brown.

Landing Brown would give Pittsburgh more momentum in the Commonwealth with Pitt landing commitments from lots of 757 talents this cycle already including Rodney Hammond, Malik Newton, and Trevion Stevenson with new assistant Chris Beatty being the driving force behind it.

Things can change rapidly on the recruiting trail, but I would be very surprised if Brown chose Tech tomorrow.

2022 4* RB Tevin White

A source has confirmed to us that 2022 four-star RB Tevin White is taking a visit to Virginia Tech today and tomorrow. While it is still a dead period, White is expected to virtually interact with RBs coach Adam Lechtenberg among others during his time in Blacksburg.

White recently told us that the Hokies were among a group of schools standing out for him with this visit giving the Hokies a chance to gain even more momentum in his recruitment. Additionally, White is teammates with new VT commit Shawn Asbury II and while White said it won't be a major factor in his eventual decision, there's no doubt that it should help Tech's chances at least slightly here with White.

White is clearly a top offensive priority for Virginia Tech in the 2022 class with the Hokies gaining some serious traction with him. Being able to get him on campus even under these unique circumstances is undoubtedly a big, early victory in his recruitment and a great sign that Tech will be a top contender for his commitment over the next 18 months whenever he does choose to make his decision.

2022 3* CB James Monds III

James Monds III may only be a three-star recruit by 247 Sports, but that seems certain to rise given the long list of schools that have offered him in recent months including Virginia Tech. Tech has made Monds a priority for their 2022 class with their pursuit paying off.

Monds told us that Virginia Tech is among three schools currently standing out in his recruitment along with Michigan State and Tennessee. He also added that the Hokies and Spartans are the two teams currently recruiting him the hardest.

Monds is an intriguing cornerback prospect and is definitely one of VT's top cornerback targets currently along with at least star 757 cornerbacks Daylen Everette and Tayon Holloway. Tech should have room for a large 2022 class as well, and it wouldn't be surprising to see them try to land 2-3 pure cornerbacks next cycle as well.

Keep an eye on Monds as the Hokies begin increasing their push in the 2022 class while looking to continue to build a strong 2021 class.
