Virginia Tech revealed a new white helmet that they will wear in next week’s Belk Bowl against Arkansas. The Hokies have had some white helmets in the past, but this is the first mainly white helmet that the Hokies will have worn this season, which is somewhat surprising given the past history Virginia Tech has with white helmets.
Personally, the helmets have grown on me over time from looking at them, but white has never necessarily been a personal favorite helmet color for me and I don’t think this helmet is as good as the new “Hokie Stone” helmets used for the Battle at Bristol. However, an important part of the look of this helmet and how good it ends up looking will depend on what uniform combo the Hokies put with this helmet and that could make this shine.
