After entering the summer off the radar, four-star big man Robbie Beran has blown up this summer earning a four-star rating from 247 Sports and several major offers including one from Virginia Tech.

The Hokies aren’t the only ones to offer recently with Beran receiving nine offers from the ACC, Big 10, SEC, Big 12; all of which came after the middle of June and seven of which came in the past two weeks. Beran was also excited to receive an offer from the Hokies earlier this week.
“As any offer, it’s big for me. It’s exciting. In a way, it’s almost like a sense of trust from the staff,” Beran said.
Beran mentioned that he’s been building a relationship with the Hokies, and that he feels that VT “felt comfortable” to offer the fast-rising Richmond big man.
How did the Hokies’ offer impact Beran’s recruitment?
“Right now, my recruitment is still pretty open. I’m just looking forward to getting to know more about VT as a school and their program. and just keep building relationships,” Beran told us.
Currently, Beran doesn’t have any visits scheduled, but plans to make decision where he wants to visit soon. Beran also hasn’t visited Virginia Tech since the start of his recruitment, but he did visit Blacksburg when he was younger.
The Hokies definitely have the benefit of in-state presence in their pursuit of Beran and clearly have him high on their board. However, it will be important for the Hokies to get the 2019 recruit on campus for a visit this fall as his recruitment takes shape.
Robbie Beran has been one of the breakout high school basketball stars of the summer, and is a name for Hokie fans to remember heading into the fall.
