Justin Robinson Will Return for the 2019 NCAA Tournament

After days of wondering whether Justin Robinson would return for the NCAA Tournament, Robinson and Buzz Williams both made a Twitter announcement about Robinson's status. https://twitter.com/TeamCoachBuzz/status/1107345498883719169 https://twitter.com/5Alive_/status/1107345506466967552 Justin Robinson will return in full from the injury he suffered at Miami that caused him to miss the past 12 games outside of a brief, 1 second appearance on Senior Night against Miami. Taking out the one-second appearance he had against Miami, Robinson is averaging 14.4 points, 5.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 47.5% from the field, 41.1% from three-point range, and 82.5% from the free-throw line. There is no doubt that Virginia Tech is a much better basketball team with Robinson especially due to Robinson's ability to get to the rim and then either draw a foul, score at the rim, or get the defense to collapse and kick it out to an open shooter. Now to think that there won't be some adjusting to adding Robinson back in the lineup would be naive. Having to adjust some even when you're adding a player of Robinson's caliber can sometimes have some problems, but it definitely helps that Robinson is an experienced player whose style fits well in almost any situation given his ability to get to the rim and his great passing. Combine that with the development from guys who've taken on more prominent roles, especially Kerry Blackshear, and this VT team is a lot more dangerous than the one before Robinson's injury. With Robinson coming back, there is no doubt that some higher seeds are going to be a little more nervous if they have to deal with Virginia Tech as a 4 or 5 seed in their region.
