With spring football set to begin, Virginia Tech is also poised to host plenty of talented recruits on campus in the next few weeks. That started a little early as 2021 DE TJ Bollers out of Tiffin, Iowa revealed this morning that he was taking a visit to Blacksburg.
The Hokies are one of five schools to have offered Bollers to date, all of which have come from Power 5 programs. Based on his Rivals, this appears to be Bollers' first visit to Blacksburg.
The fact that Bollers is taking a midweek visit across the country to visit Virginia Tech shows that he has real, significant interest in the Hokies. While it could be his spring break, the fact that he would travel across the country to visit VT with the Hokies being the only program outside the upper Midwest to offer him.
Virginia Tech doesn't have a reputation of having much recruiting success west of the Mississippi River outside of Dalton Keene, but the Hokies appear to be a legitimate player in the recruitment of TJ Bollers especially with his midweek visit in the middle of March.
