2024 OT Jayden Todd Recaps "Great" Virginia Tech Visit

Ahead of a busy recruiting weekend, Virginia Tech hosted a pair of 2024 targets Tuesday including OT Jayden Todd out of Georgia.

He told us that he "loved" his "great" visit to Virginia Tech adding this on why it was a great visit for him.

"The campus was really nice. The coaching staff made me feel super welcomed," Todd said.

He added this on what he did during his visit to Blacksburg.

"I was able to watch and meet some of the team while they were lifting. I went on a campus tour, and I met with the coaches," Todd said.

As mentioned above, Todd spent lots of time with the coaching staff including offensive coordinator Tyler Bowen, OL coach Ron Crook, and offensive analyst Brent Davis. He had this say about his time and conversations with Bowen.

"It went great! I actually found out that he is originally from a small town about 30 minutes from where I live," Todd said.

"It was good. We talked a lot about football and his expectations for players," Todd said.

He had this to say about his time with Davis.

"We had a great day together. He’s a great guy. He’s done a really good job of staying in contact with me throughout this whole process," Todd said.

Looking ahead, Todd told us that he is looking to set a VT official visit likely in the fall. He also has plans to camp at a few other Power 5 programs this month including Georgia, Florida State, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Georgia Tech.

So with all that said, how did this visit impact his recruitment and where VT stands in it?

"This visit had a positive impact on my recruitment and my view on VT. I can’t wait to get back for my official visit," Todd said.

Virginia Tech impressed Jayden Todd on his visit with the Hokies putting themselves in a strong position for him at the moment.
