Among those on campus this past weekend was 2025 three-star CB Aydan West out of Quince Orchard HS in Gaithersburg, MD. His visit went well as he shared with us.
"It was good, the atmosphere is great!" West said.
He added this on what made it a good visit for him.
"Everything about it was a factor like the coaches, the players, the facilities, the food, and especially the fans, etc," West said.
He also added this on what made the atmosphere "great" at Virginia Tech in his view.
"It never got quiet," West said. "It was always loud, and they had a lot of chants. The fans are very in tune with the team and with each other. All love there," West said.
So what did West do on his visit to Virginia Tech? Here's what he had to say.
"Just had a good time with my family, we spent time with the staff, and enjoyed watching the game," West said.
His visit also included spending time with RBs coach Elijah Brooks who is one of Tech's primary area recruiters in Maryland. West had this say about his time and conversations with Brooks.
"Our conversations were good. You know, we lost our last playoff game, so he was just giving me some motivation words, and letting me know that I have a home at Virginia Tech," West said.
It shouldn't be a surprise that Tech coaches are making clear to West that Tech has significant interest in him especially as he has built a solid offer list that includes VT, Maryland, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Boston College, and more.
There was also one thing that was unique about this visit to West that stuck out to him.
"I didn’t know the fan base was so dedicated. That stuck out to me," West said.
So how did this visit impact his recruitment and where the Hokies stand in it?
"This visit impacted where VT stands in my recruitment, but the coaches have always showed me a lot of love before the visit. So VT already has a special place in my heart," West said.
Virginia Tech impressed three-star CB Aydan West on his latest trip to Blacksburg and are clear contenders for him currently.
