Virginia Tech almost pulled off a massive victory at No. 13 Virginia this past Saturday, rallying from 16 down at halftime to tie the game at 51 and then be in a battle the rest of the way. However, a stretch where Ben Hammond missed two free throws and 7-footer Ugonna Onyenso made his second three of the night that led to a Mike Young expletive in his postgame press conference turned what could have been a two-point deficit into a seven-point deficit that changed the game for good.
Now, the Hokies heads to the ACC Tournament still on the heart of the bubble but knowing that the cut line likely will move slightly farther away with bid thieves likely so let's jump into where the Hokies currently stand.
