In early May, Virginia Tech landed a commitment from Jaden Muskrat, who previously spend two years at Auburn, and three at Tulsa before that including as Tulsa’s starting right tackle in 2022. In the process, the Hokies added some important veteran experience to the offensive line room.
When Phillip Montgomery looks at Jaden Muskrat, he sees more than just another transfer. With the addition, Montgomery adds familiarity, flexibility, and most importantly, someone who can either start or seamlessly fill in at multiple spots across the offensive line.
“He was a starter for us at Tulsa, played a ton of snaps, started a bunch of games for us at Auburn... I think he brings level-headedness. I think he'll bring some tenacity to us. He's an athletic dude,” Montgomery said.
