For the first time in a couple seasons, Mike Young has an NCAA Tournament at-large bid caliber roster on his hands in Blacksburg. Virginia Tech fell short of the big dance in the last three seasons, possessing respectable NIT squads in 2022-23 and 2023-24, before struggling through a semi-disastrous 13-19 campaign a year ago.
Just like the Hokies, the ACC is enjoying a resurgence, making conference play quite the gauntlet just like the good ole’ days.
With this in mind, I walked through each remaining game on Tech’s schedule and determined what (generally) the Hokies will need to do to make a return to the NCAA Tournament.
